KEP Lifts Achieves ISO 45001 Lift Certification!

KEP Lifts is proud to announce that we have been certified with Lift Cert ISO 45001 accreditation for the lift industry.

This achievement adds to our already robust reputation for delivering superior access solutions and value for money products from our comprehensive portfolio, along with our newly formed Passenger Lift Modernisation Dept.

This achievement is the result of our team at KEP working together to achieve this highly respected standard.

What is Lift Cert ISO 45001?

Lift Cert ISO 45001 is a global standard for health and safety in lift manufacture, installation and servicing. It is assessed by highly qualified, specialist auditors in the lift industry who require companies to adhere to strict safety rules.

The certification is operated by Lift Cert Ltd, an approved body under the Lifts Regulations 2016, and is backed by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service to review and approve certifications.

Why is ISO 45001 so important for lifts?

Safety is bound up in every aspect of the lift industry, and the key focus of the ISO 45001 accreditation is to align with International Standards for Organizations in occupational health and safety management.

It is a safety framework to enable organisations to minimise risks and improve safety performance in their work. Core elements of the ISO 45001 certification include:

  • Health and safety policy implementation
  • Leadership and worker engagement in safety processes
  • Identifying hazards and assessing risks
  • Compliance with regulations and government legislation for the industry
  • Emergency and contingency planning
  • Reacting to and investigating incidents
  • Implementation of continuous improvement across the organisation

KEP Lift is proud to have achieved the ISO 45001 accreditation and will continue our record of safely designing and delivering excellent lift and platform access solutions.
