LOLER Thorough Examinations

Garsington Opera#2.jpg

Through the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER) the Health and Safety Executive mandates that lifts that are used in work activity are thoroughly examined regularly. Meaning that if you are a lift owner or someone responsible for the safe operation of a lift in the workplace, eg a facilities manager, you are a ‘duty holder’ under LOLER. Duty holders are responsible by law to ensure their lift is safe to use and it is regularly thoroughly examined.

LOLER thorough examinations or lift inspections are legally required to be completed regularly by a competent person. As per the HSE and LOLER guidelines, KEP Lifts use an independent testing company to complete these examinations and provide reports to the duty holder.
